Principal Investigator
Dr. Sarah Maiter is an Associate Professor in the School of Social Work at York University in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Dr. Maiter brings experience from over 20 years of social work experience in child protection. Serving on the executive board of the American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children, being a panel reviewer for the National Traumatic Network’s development of culturally competent treatments for trauma, and being a trainer and curriculum developer for the Ontario Association of Children’s Aid Society has provided Dr. Maiter with valuable insights for this project. Dr Maiter also has experience from many research studies with diverse ethno-racial families. In her role within the projects she has participated actively in design, data gathering, data analysis, report writing, and dissemination of findings.
